The Story of Weather Mole

WeatherMole is a mashup combining two services. The weather forecast component is from NOAA’sExperimental National Digital Forecast Database XML Web Service and the map component is fromGoogle Maps. In addition, the text area where you enter a city name was heavily borrowed fromGoogle Suggest. I used Chris Justus’s dissection of Google Suggest to incorporate it into WeatherMole. Zip code support comes from CFDynamics. Thanks to all for these valuable technologies.

WeatherMole was developed and is maintained by me, Julien Chastang. I am a software engineer for the National Center for Atmospheric Research in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I specialize in the design and development of enterprise scale software applications. I have over 15 years of software development experience.
